Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant (part-time)
We are looking to appoint a new member of our team to perform the role of a part-time Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant in our EYFS and Year 1 class at Lacock Primary School.
As a Teaching Assistant and Midday Supervisory Assistant you must be committed and flexible, able to support groups and individual children with their learning. Being able to work as part of a team is essential as well as being able to use your own initiative. The successful candidate will need excellent communication and liaison skills and will be closely supported by a class teacher and wider team.
Duties will include:
We are keen to hear from individuals who are patient, calm, organised and adaptable. Being able to have a positive outlook and sense of humour is essential. Experience of supporting learners with communication difficulties would be an advantage but not essential.
The jobholder must demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. This will involve undertaking annual Safeguarding training and using school reporting systems for any Safeguarding concerns.

Hours: Thursday 8.45am – 3.15pm (with a 30min MDSA duty and 30min unpaid lunch break)
Friday 12.30 – 3.15pm (with a 30min MDSA duty)
These hours may increase from end of November, and there is always a strong possibility of picking up more hours during the week if desired.
Contract: Temporary and fixed-term initially, with a possibility to extend.

- Supporting the pupils’ self-esteem, inclusion and behavioural development
- Provide physical/personal care to pupils where required
- Supporting the Teacher/s
- Supporting the delivery of the Early Years curriculum along with other aspects of the enhanced curriculum offered by the school.
- Support the school e.g. assisting with setting up, storing and retrieving, and general maintenance of classroom equipment and teaching aids.
