
The RE curriculum at Lacock Primary School
At Lacock School we are proud of our links to our local church St Cyriac’s and to our surrounding community. The principal aim of RE at Lacock Primary School is to engage children in asking key questions arising from their study of world religions and to promote their moral and spiritual development.
At Lacock School, RE is taught for one hour per week. We follow the Wiltshire scheme of work, supported by the Understanding Christianity resource and by the time a child leaves Lacock School our aim is that they will have:

- An ability to reflect on and ask questions about the meaning of life
- An understanding of how the beliefs, values and ways of life within any religion cohere together
- The ability to exemplify the school’s Christian values in wider society
